The opening of the  junior school in September 2011 marked the re-establishment of junior education at WGS.

The former home of Modern Languages  – the Hallmark building - has been completely renovated and refurbished to provide a spacious hall and seven classrooms. Together with the Big Six classroom adjoining the library, the school has the flexibility to offer both class based and small group teaching. One of the classrooms is equipped as a science and art room for the younger children. Children in Big Six benefit from using the senior school’s outstanding facilities.

The Junior School has its own distinct identity as expressed in its own uniform and site. Once delivered into the school, pupils are safe and secure in our own designated area. Children using the senior school’s facilities are escorted to and from the various locations by their class teacher. WGJS children  feel a strong sense of belonging to WGJS, but are also proud to be part of Wolverhampton Grammar School.
