WGJS Junior Friends
To all Parents and Pupils
This is to express our huge thanks for all the help and generous donations in helping to make our 1st Christmas Fayre, last Saturday, a fantastic success.
From selling your child’s raffle tickets, bringing in tombola prizes, taking part in Fill a Mug, donating baubles etc etc and to all those that volunteered and helped – THANK YOU!
Also to all those moms, dads, grandparents, siblings and friends that turned up on the day and took part, choosing items from the super stalls, bidding on the hampers and even joining the Junior School Choir around the Christmas tree for carols – THANK YOU!
We had a brilliant turn out on the day, and we hope you would agree, the atmosphere was very festive with lots of good cheer – perhaps the mulled wine played its part ….
All the stall owners were particularly pleased and special thanks should go to the teachers, and of course, our pupils for taking part by running their own stalls so well and enthusiastically.
Of course, we mustn’t forget Mr Pawluk and the brass duet, who welcomed all entering the Fayre in a resplendent manner … and Santa, who very kindly took time out of his very busy schedule to pay us a visit.
We are delighted to confirm that indeed the Fayre was a success in all ways – you all helped to raise over £1800 which we hope you will be delighted with.
This amount will now go towards the figure that is needed for new staging and lighting for the Junior School that will of course benefit all the pupils.
There will be more events in 2012 and shall let you know about them all in due course, and we hope you will continue to support them.
Anyone wish to join The Junior Friends is more than welcome, our next meeting is Thursday 19th January, at 7.30pm in Junior School.
