Girls’ Sport
The girls will play netball in the autumn term followed by hockey and rounders. The school is fortunate to have its own Astroturf pitch to allow children to acquire skills confidently. Girls who may not have experienced hockey or other competitive sports need not worry as teachers will begin with basic skills before moving on to small-sided games.
As with contact rugby, it is advisable for girls to wear mouthguards to avoid any unnecessary injury. The school will make arrangements for OPRO dentists to visit WGJS. Parents may wish their child to make use of this facility. A booking form will be sent in summer mailings.
